Yellowstone

Yellowstone National Park is a place that will never cease to amaze me.  At every turn, there is something else that takes your breath away:  to the left is a magnificent technicolored hot spring and to the right, a herd of bison.  Yellowstone is the quintessential National Park to visit.  The park itself is in the western United States which is a place, to me, that offers some of the best outdoor locations in the country.  In this post, I think I want to let the pictures do the talking, so I hope you enjoy these images from my honeymoon to Jackson Hole and Yellowstone!

Given that I just got married, I moved house!  Over the last few weeks, I have been getting settled and all of my things tucked away.  I will be making a few posts of some of my favorite spots in my new home as I get them organized.  During this process, I've found that I truly love to decorate and I can't wait to share what I've done.

Honeymoon Roadtrip

It's crazy to think that it's already been a month since I got married to my best friend and took the best trip I've ever been on.  For our honeymoon, we decided to go to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  We flew into Salt Lake City, Utah and took a roughly 400-mile road trip to Jackson Hole together.  These are some pictures from our drive there.

Engagement Pictures

It feels like yesterday that Josh and I were going on our first date.  Fast forward two and half years and here we are, two months away from our wedding day.  Three weeks ago, we got our engagement pictures taken, and I've been dying to post them.  Our photographer, Jessie Holloway, was an absolute joy to work with.  Not only did she make a real effort to get to know us, but she made us feel comfortable in front of the camera (a real feat for Josh and I).

Here are some of my favorites:

Our props for the pictures at the Frothy Monkey.  I got an americano and Josh got a latte.
Props in action.
One of my very favorites.

In love with this one of my ring.

Chit chatting on the sidewalk.

White's Mercantile.

I like the groovy light fixture above us.

An Outline of 2017

Lately, I've been thinking about all of the things that this summer is going to bring.  Usually, I am dreading the season because of the stifling hot weather Tennessee brings come June, July, and August, but this year it's different.  I'm letting myself think of all of the good things that those months are going to usher in:  fresh veggies, breezy clothes, graduation from college, and I'M GETTING MARRIED!
It's been a whirlwind since Christmas.  The holidays seem to pass with the blink of an eye in usual circumstances, but they went by at an even more breakneck speed this year.  Before I knew it, I had already bought my wedding dress, booked my photographer, had cake tastings, and started my final semester of college.  I barely seemed to have time to open a single book and relax, and because of that, I decided I wanted to do some things to help me slow down and take everything in.
I usually don't make any traditional New Year's resolutions, but I'm going to make an exception this year.
Over the next few months, I plan to
○ take time with assignments
○ closely read things
○ find new hobbies
○ spend more time with family
○ stay organized
○ journal more
So far, I've kept with these few things and I implore you to try them out, especially if you're having trouble keeping up with what day it is.

1 January 2017

At the end of last year, I did a recap of major things that happened in 2015 rather than my New Year's Resolutions.  I loved being able to reflect on how much can happen in just one year.  2016 brought with it a lot of new experiences and exciting things, so I'll get started.
